Rajmachi, a plateau, with its own prominence in the Deccan plateau is situated in the Pawan Maval region of Sahyadris. It has two historical forts, Shrivardhan and Manaranjan on it. These forts were built during the Satavahana era and was captured by Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj in the year 1657 from the ruler of Bijapur.
About the trek: The trek will start from a place called Fanasrai, which is the source of the famous Kataldhar waterfall. It will be a flat jungle walk till Udhewadi, which is located at the base of two forts. From Udhewadi, there two separate routes to approach the twin forts.
