Nisargnaad Offbeat: Vaishakhare-Naneghat – Jivdhan Trek

Naneghat is a old trade route (Mountain pass) in the western ghat range between the Konkan and deccan plateau. Trek route starts from Vaishakhare (Malshej ghat). It will take around three hours to reach the top of Naneghat. Witness a famous rock climbing face- Nana Cha Anghtha to your right as you climb Naneghat.

Jivdhan is a huge hill fortress in main Sahyadri Mountain range located near Junnar. Fort was build for protection of Naneghat. Trek route starts from the Naneghat. There is dense jungle at the base of fort. After jungle patch there are beautiful rock cut steps which will takes us to the top. It will take around three hours to reach top. The main entrance of this fort is completely carved in the single rock.
