Kothaligad Fort, also known as Peth Fort, is a popular one-day trek located near Karjat in the Raigad district of Maharashtra. Standing at an elevation of around 3,100 feet, the trek is ideal for beginners and nature lovers, especially during the monsoon and winter seasons.

Raigad stands as a silent witness to two significant events in the history of the Maratha Empire: the coronation of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj on June 6, 1674, and the demise of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj on April 3, 1680.
