The Kamalgad Fort covers a flat area of about four acres and is surrounded by sheer rocks. Earlier, the fort could be reached through a man-made tunnel that started from the base of the cliff and emerged on the top. However, the tunnel is now blocked by a large boulder. There are no ruins of buildings or walls at the fort, and the natural fortification of the rocks likely provided sufficient defense against enemies.
