One of the most important forts built during Shivaji Maharaj’s reign was Pratapgad. After capturing Javali in January 1656, the hill of Bhorya in Javali caught the attention of the Maharaj.

Kalyan gad is also known as Nandgiri fort. This fort was built by king Bhoj-II of Shilahar dynasty as mentioned in the copper plate inscription found in Satara. This fort appears to be built in between 1178 to 1209. In 1673 Shivaji Maharaj conquered Satara and surrounding regions.

Rohida Fort, also known as Vichitragad, is a scenic hill fort located near Bhor, around 60–70 km from Pune in the Sahyadri mountain range. Standing at an elevation of about 3,660 feet, this fort offers a rewarding trek that is ideal for beginners and weekend adventurers. The trail starts from the base village Bajarwadi and takes about 2–3 hours to reach the summit, passing through grassy ridges, rocky patches, and three beautifully constructed gates that reflect the fort’s historical significance.

Telni waterfall is a very scenic and secluded place in the Western ghaats in the Nane Maval region. A beautiful trail to waterfall with a climb of half an hour takes you to the waterfall and few of the beautiful ponds where you can take a dip and enjoy. The trek starts near a small village Inglun about 70 kms from Pune.

Disu Waterfall, a newly explored site in the laps of Sahyadri is a truly untouched area near Kamshet. Paradise for all the waterfall lovers. A short hike of about an hour takes you to some of the beautiful naturally made ponds with fresh water to take a dip and get rejuvenated. A must do monsoon trek.
