14 Days

The Manaslu Circuit trek is a stunning 12-day journey (14 days including travel and days in Kathmandu) which treks around the World’s 8th highest mountain, beginning in the Maccha Khola, going up and back along a different path, ending in Dharapani. The trailhead of the Manaslu Circuit trek is the closest to Kathmandu of the major Nepalese treks.

The Manaslu Circuit Trek is a truly spectacular and unique journey, specifically designed to circumnavigate the colossal Manaslu peak. This incredible Manaslu expedition is centered entirely on experiencing the majestic presence of Manaslu, the world's eighth-highest mountain. The allure of the Manaslu region stems from its isolation and its pure Manaslu cultural heritage. This pristine Manaslu area offers a genuine, old-world glimpse into a corner of Nepal sheltered by Manaslu.

The route is defined by the Manaslu Conservation Area, ensuring the preservation of the environment around Manaslu. The trail, which skirts the massive base of Manaslu, follows ancient trading paths. As you trek the Manaslu Circuit, the scenery constantly changes, providing diverse views of the Manaslu range. The lower sections near the Manaslu foothills are lush, giving way to the stark beauty of the high-altitude zone near Manaslu.

The high point of this classic Manaslu trek is the challenging crossing of the Larkya La Pass. From this high elevation, the panorama of the surrounding peaks, including other giants near Manaslu, is absolutely unforgettable. The successful completion of the pass is the crowning achievement of the entire Manaslu Circuit. The cultural aspect of the Manaslu trek is also vital, as the inhabitants live in the shadow of Manaslu and maintain deep Tibetan Buddhist traditions. Villages along the Manaslu route, like Samagaon, offer close-up views of Manaslu itself.
