The Tail Baila to Thanale Caves Trek is an adventurous trail in Maharashtra that offers a mix of nature, history, and stunning coastal views. The trek begins from Tail Baila, a serene village surrounded by lush greenery, and leads to the Thanale Caves, ancient rock-cut structures that date back several centuries. The trek spans a distance of approximately 6–7 km through dense forests, rolling hills, and rugged terrain, providing both challenge and reward to adventurers.

Kothaligad Fort, also known as Peth Fort, is a popular one-day trek located near Karjat in the Raigad district of Maharashtra. Standing at an elevation of around 3,100 feet, the trek is ideal for beginners and nature lovers, especially during the monsoon and winter seasons.

Raigad stands as a silent witness to two significant events in the history of the Maratha Empire: the coronation of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj on June 6, 1674, and the demise of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj on April 3, 1680.
